Required:   Completed SG2 form to be given to Lilly on Monday January 28, 2013
Cost:           No cost (our unit will be funding the $3.00 per Brownie fee)

Description:

February 22^nd is a special day for Guides and Scouts all around the world.  Celebrate this Thinking Day (on February 20^th) with Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers from our community!  Join us as we “visit” Girl Guides in other countries.

Description from the Community Safety Village Fire Safety Program Website:

Fire Safety and Fire Science
Grade 4 students review basic fire safety principles with a uniformed Fire Educator and are introduced to home escape planning. The lesson also includes the science of fire (combustion) as they learn about the fire triangle. Students will independently look for fire and burn hazards as well as experience a true-to-life home escape with smoke simulation in Sparky’s Apartment. Students should wear comfortable clothing suitable for being inside (70 minutes). They do not need to bring/wear snow pants unless you plan to take them outside before or after this session. This session is based on the Risk Watch Curriculum.

Color Me Mine Evening

Date:         Monday February 18, 2013 (Family Day) - for the families that are around

Location:  Color Me Mine, Main Street Markham
                 126 Main Street North, Markham
Time:        6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Event:       A fun, relaxing evening for the Brownies.  

                 Each painter will have the choice between a mug, a salad plate and a bowl.

Cost:         $8.00 per Brownie ($15.00 per Brownie, but our unit is funding $7.00 per Brownie)
Due:          Please bring money and completed SG2 form on Monday January 28, 2013.

Additional Information

Although some families may be away for the Family Day holiday, we would like to offer those who will be around to attend a fun evening at Color Me Mine on Markham Main Street.
